MEET OUR INTERNS

Jorge Azcona

Jorge Azcona, operating under the moniker Spiral Eye, seamlessly blends his passion for art with a profound dedication to community engagement. Graduating from Stockton University and currently pursuing his Masters in Museum Leadership at Drexel University, Azcona’s journey is intricately intertwined with his commitment to both artistic expression and community empowerment.

Grounded in his mantra “True. Counter. Culture.”, Azcona’s artwork serves as a powerful conduit for social commentary, drawing inspiration from his Mexican and Indigenous heritage, as well as the defiant spirit of 90’s music and punk culture. Yet, beyond the canvas, Azcona’s heart lies in Atlantic City, where he actively fosters connections and opportunities for his fellow residents.

As an Atlantic City native, Azcona recognizes the importance of community cohesion and actively works to bridge divides and amplify marginalized voices. His tireless efforts extend particularly to the Latino community, where he champions inclusivity and access to resources, fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment.
